Yas Press

Teacher Fellows

English teachers bring the beauty and power of language into the classroom, empowering students to put their feelings into words.  These teaching fellowships offer a stipend to teachers who have devoted themselves to developing pedagogical innovations in the teaching of poetry.  Fellows participate in the creation of a poetry curriculum the summer before the festival, which will then be available to other teachers, encouraging them to bring poetry into their classrooms. Join us for our first annual Small Press Fair, an extravaganza of indie presses, printmaking, artist books, lit journals, and zines.  The fair will have indoor and outdoor components, as well as food trucks, pop-up performances, and presentations from various organizations.
